A common scene in the Sonoran Desert is the male Gambels Quail watching-out for his family while motionlessly perched on a prickly pear cactus. This tranquil scene recurs not only in the desert, but also in the backyards of many denizens in the Southwest. We have drawn the design for this new print directly from nature, which never ceases to inspire our art.
